during one of the worst storms we'd had in a VERY long time. Unfortunately for me I was in need of new tired but still having to wait for another
pay check to afford them. Even though I was being incredibly careful, the weather apparently had it in for me.
When I turned the second to last corner before arriving home I hit an oil patch in the middle of the intersection that had risen up during the rain, causing me to hydroplane across the street and wind up between two trees. Needless to say I totaled the car (a 1998 BMW 328is) and have since been without personal transportation... until this month!
Now that I'm back on my feet after loosing my job and having started college, I've finally been able to put enough money together to buy a new car.
It's definitely not a BMW, but I won't have any trouble getting around. Plus, it should be a fun tuner when I'm done working on it.
I don't have the car yet, but I'm currently talking with the guy and hope to have it purchased before the month is out. Which is good because I'll
be moving to Seattle for school this fall.
Let's hope I can keep this one on the road (lol).
Here's a picture of what it'll look like when I'm done:

On another note, I want to comment on a piece of art draw by a very good friend of mine
Every time I see a new picture she's done I can't help but smile and feel like something very special.
On a more serious note, she does an amazing job on this piece with the shading and I particularly love how she shows the ripples of rain drops hitting the water. At first I wasn't sure where her feet had disappeared to until I realized she's supposed to be standing out somewhere in about a foot of water, lol. Anyhow, great work, hope you check it out! [link]

P.s. I'm working on finishing my MySpaceMusic page for my REAL art (songs). Hopefully it'll be done shortly. I'll post another journal when I have things uploaded.
